It’s Time to Think About Insurance

As we’re midway through the third quarter already, both individuals and families should be thinking about their health insurance and any potential changes for 2026.

Whether you have coverage through the federal marketplace, group coverage through an employer, or Medicare, the fourth quarter is when open enrollment takes place and when most employer group plans also renew (1/1).

These are important events that allow you to make changes to your coverage for the coming year. As such, you should take time now to review your current coverage to see if it is still the best fit for you for the coming year.

Marketplace (ACA) open enrollment is November 1–January 15, and Medicare open enrollment is October 15–December 7. Employer group plans renewing January 1 will typically have a 30- or 60-day open enrollment window prior.

We highly recommend everyone take advantage of these opportunities to review your coverage options to make sure your plan is right for you.
